The Plumed Wyvern, Draconis minor splendins can be a very rewarding pet, as long as it is given long - and we're talking kilometres here, folks, outside, flights and plenty of attention. Though lacking the venomous sting of their larger cousins the bite can cause serious reactions. Confiding to those it knows, strangers are best introduced gradually, and never when the beast is perched on your shoulder as a startled plumed wyvern will attack the eyes of anyone it perceives as a threat to their friends if it's on the same level - shoulder height.

We will have to ask Mr Stephen Gunnell what the ink and the pen were, as he gave me both :-) And filled the pen as it was scary.

  2. What she has not mentioned is that it was mostly drawn in snatched bits in between housework, at the games club, and watching videos this evening!

  3. 4 or 5 hours all up I think? Dunno, time seemed to go like lightning. Ooh, and listening to early episodes of Welcome To Night Vale.

  5. The ink is J. Herbin's Rouge-Hematite and it is worth zooming in to see the red to black gradations the ink provides. The pen is a Chinese Hero pens Parker 51 clone. I had forgotten how much of a pain aeromatic fillers can be.

  6. There's some discussion of care and handling here, Winnie X - it's easy to attract them to your house, and they can become quite tame if you want to look at them, but not have the worry of looking after them. http://leecetheartist.livejournal.com/343549.html?view=879613#t879613
