For the 31st, and last drawing of #inktober2015  and my personal #drawingwithoutanet   challenge I decided to do something special. White ink on black! Life, and unfortunately, death, has intervened until now. But now I've finished it, and I'm pretty pleased. The white ink pens weren't a pleasure to work with and clogged and leaked a lot, and they didn't like the paper at all. But finally it's been finished! Thanks for your patience.

So in this penultimate Inktober drawing - Inktober 30 the bottom third I drew in the Art Gallery of Western Australia's cafe, the middle bit during the Genghiscon Quiz Night, and the last bit up the top when I got home. So it's certainly a well travelled piece. I've got this fantasy dinosaur/pterosaur thing going on with it seems like.

A bit of fun. I couldn't remember the name of the hero from around Lake Titicaca who made a reed boat to save his family and the animals from a Flood, but Utnapishtim might also have used a reed boat. I Read about this other Flood myths in either Thor Heyerdahl's Ra or his Tigris expedition. Must read them again, he was a fine writer, may he rest in peace. Or maybe may he adventure on might be more to that adventurer's liking.  Anyway, this is going to be coloured with watercolours and was drawn pretty quickly with those Pitt artist pens. #drawingwithoutanet which was particularly difficult with this one - oh for a pencil and eraser!, and #inktober #inktober2015

Inktober 15. A little late but I am on Island Time. The Baudin's Lesser Hydra is not a true Hydra. True Hydras have 9 heads at the start of life and are not winged. I'm feeling a bit twitchy today, can't settle and feeling quite out of sorts.

I'm feeling a bit twitchy today, can't settle and feeling quite out of sorts. So Inktober the 12th is a very small piece, done in half an hour or so, for the period I could focus on it. Don't know what's wrong with me today.  Someone else in Inktober drew a cool looking  Abe from Hellboy, so that got me thinking about mermaids and such. This watermaid looks a feisty sort.
