I used to have really weak ankles and dreadful knee pain. These shoes assist me to walk correctly, the way the foot is supposed to naturally, without the perils of broken glass etc. Now my ankles are strong as anything, they never just go over, and knee pain, what's that? All fixed. They took about a week to adjust to. They have ruined me for normal shoes, not strapping concrete blocks to my feet again, that's for sure. They last longer if you wear socks - toe socks of course - with them.
A friend of mine used to wear some to training and I have a relative who ran in some (not sure of the specific brand but they were toe shoes). The biggest problem they had was when they stunk after exercise and washing them :) Do either of you have issues with that?
No, wearing socks with them completely removes the issue. They can be put in the washing machine if you don't want to wear socks... but wear socks, your shoes will last longer and won't smell.
And look out if you're crossing a field of daisies!
ReplyDeleteI've never looked back, going so far as to get leather ones for wearing at the office!

ReplyDeleteFitting is vitally important, if you're not getting them from a shop that can help you fit, really follow the sizing instructions carefully.

ReplyDeleteIf I remember I might suggest they get toe socks then :)
