What's the last cup of tea you enjoyed?
What's the last cup of tea you enjoyed? Me - well brewed PG Tips in a large mug, with two drops of the Tea Masala Spice Drop and milk.
Indeed. Also, poorly-made tea can hide behind added stuff, so drinking it straight helps separate the great from the mediocre. But that's one of the things I've done in the tea industry--both direct tea evaluation, and training people to do so.
I think the most refined sounding tea I have had was the Looloocandera (?) maybe that's the spelling, from James Taylor's estate. It tasted pretty good after a hard paddle upstream. :-)
Would be jasmine tea at work yesterday. From a tea bag because it was work. At home, I brew from loose. I have a cream Earl Grey that is just amazing!!!
I believe mine was a first flush Darjeeling from either Makaibari Estate or Glenburn Estate...can't remember which I've got in the tin right now.
ReplyDeleteAnd did you folks take milk, sugar - anything added, or was it just boiling water?
ReplyDeleteLiquorish Root, Rosehip and Hibiscus
ReplyDeleteThat sounds nice!
ReplyDeleteAlicia Smith
ReplyDeleteGoes well with a full teaspoon of honey.
Aussie Spiced Chai with a splash of milk. Yum!
ReplyDeleteTwo days ago, sat on the sofa with my cuppa having a relaxing moment :)
ReplyDeleteI rarely add anything unless it's culturally appropriate (i.e., yak butter to Tibetan tea, milk with masala chai).
ReplyDeleteVery purist!
