Week 13: Playing with Light

This was a tripod job, and strict instructions to Rob Masters on drone operation. No! Back a bit! Left a bit! Noooo! (Crash!)

Week 11: Spring or Autumn

This photo was taken during the 2013 Perth Photowalk - we are supposed to be well into Autumn here, but summer is lingering late. Still there are a few deciduous trees amongst the evergreens here, and this broken tiling I found along the way has suitably autumnal hues. Bit of an illusion here though, the myth of four seasons. We actually have 6 - at the moment Bunuru is refusing to make way for Djeran. #seeaustralia #perth2013

A game of Ticket to Ride: Heart of Africa revealed trains, a plane and an automobile all with close proximity.

A game of Ticket to Ride: Heart of Africa revealed trains, a plane and an automobile all with close proximity. As the sun was setting and coming in through the windows of the centre, the coloured plastic trains lit up like neon against the earth tones of the board, sending long shadows across the playing space.

Week 12: Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Catching up, I have been inactive, but never mind.

Catching up, I have been inactive, but never mind. A game of the new edition of Serenissima gave me an opportunity for an interesting depth of field shot as my trireme slowly slogged through the treacherous waters of the Mediterranean, carrying lazy sailors and precious cargoes.

Week 10: Depth of Field

Over the trenches of France, a Gotha bomber is intercepted by a lone Sopwith Snipe. The escorting Pfalz DVIIIs close in to take care of the interruption...

A scene from a game of Wings of Glory at this week's Western Australian Boardgame Association's meeting. A chance for me to merge two of my hobbies :)

Once again the frog pond provides some inspiration for the year project.

Once again the frog pond provides some inspiration for the year project. The eye of an iron sculpture of a dragon provides interesting framing for one of the residents, who has very pretty eyes as well. A little fooling about with the colours, and here we go.

Summer Silhouettes

Summer Silhouettes

A hot summer's day by the beach, red sky as the sun sets behind the playground shades. Caught my eye as I was walking back from photographing the sun going down over the sea.
