#WeeklyPhotoProject2013 curated by Andrew Willard , Iain Harley and Tiina Niskanen Weekly Photo Project 2013 Week 6: Signs
Hi Andrew, it is a puzzler isn't it? Originally, it's one of the parking spaces at the beach reserved for disabled people, which is a blue square with the white logo of a person in a wheelchair painted on the tarmac. Scarborough is a very popular for both surf and parasailing, both sports use the car park too. So someone has cleverly defaced the original 'parking here for disabled' to what can be interpreted as "parking here for disabled parasailors and surfers" I guess. :-) When the sign was first defaced the wheelchair was still clearly visible.
Ok... I have no idea what this is supposed to represent. No parachuting? No disabled kite flying? Help Alicia Smith
