One of the other things we did at Swancon 40 was to print out some Bingo Cards with game genres, using osric.com/bingocardgenerator . The genres included "worker placement" "gateway game" "trains" "dexterity" and so on. Each Swancon attendee received one, and once they'd completed the required games to fill in a row, they received a small prize, and had their photo taken if they were willing. This saw a great influx of people into the gaming room who otherwise would never have come in. Our aim was to get the gamers out into the panels, and to get the panelists into the gaming room and it worked really well.
