#gamejourneythursday , Curators: Clinton Coddington Jon Beall Rocio Goodey Close up of a game of Ticket to Ride: Heart of Africa. With the setting sun casting long shadows and the brightness of the railcars, quite a pretty image. I won this one by good fortune and adroitness with the terrain rules. Quite cool that. Still not as good as TTR:Europe. A much better game with stations.

Wonderful picture Alicia Smith!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, it took some fiddling and fooling around.
ReplyDeleteNice capture of this game. I find Ticket to Ride difficult to photograph, because the scope of each board is so broad.
ReplyDeleteJon Beall in this case, due to the theme for Project 52 that week being "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" I was forced to narrow the focus down onto the fortuitous spot on that board which featured an aircraft and a motor car in close proximity. The trains, of course, were everywhere. It was perfect for the theme. And then came the setting sun slanting through the windows of where the club were playing...gave me a nice capture, and a bit of fiddling about in the lab, and voila! Ticket to Ride is hard to get in the lens, I tend to go for close ups. Stations are so photogenic...
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! Love the way the light falls on the train cars.
ReplyDeleteReally nice image of a fun game : )
ReplyDeleteThank you Robert Washburn and Kai Schmidt !
