A gaming convention where you get to stay in rail carriages in the Barossa Valley, surrounded by Produce of all sorts! I am so tempted by this one! And it's like, in a state which actually shares a border with us!

  1. The Lord Forrest private car for the IP sleeps 6 and has a 12 seat boardroom table. Cost is about $21,000 return ... around $3500pp return.
Possibly could be amortised better if some extra gamers travelled in other parts of the train but paid a small surcharge to share the private car's boardroom & lounge.
Also Great Southern Rail has a group booking scheme for a minimum of 10 people. Not sure what discounts it offers.
I also have a drivers license suitable for a mini-bus.
    I could make enquiries ... ?

  2. Some people are talking about it here... http://boardgamegeek.com/article/11835304  It might just fit in with when we wanted to do the Cape to Cape, but yeah, cheaper options and checking Rob's leave needs to be looked at. It looks very cool.
