Title

A note arrives upstairs for Mr Hopkins, the messenger didn't wait.

Dear Mr Hopkins

Esteemed comrade, I have had a visitation by our most royal fishmonger. The poor thing is worried about the state of things and feels that our city is once again under threat. In our discussion I heard our most august fishmonger has sensed that a pillar has fallen, one of three i believe. The most royal personage senses that if the second falls we will be for a very difficult time.

I have also spoken to some four legged acquaintances, who were shocked and dismayed upon learning of the sad fate of Raymond Whitehoof.

They confirmed that he was indeed a sage. Also it seems the second pillar appears to reside in Oxford at Balliol.

He too is a quadruped and he must be protected at all costs. I have left for Oxford post haste and will start this protection immediately whether or not this fellow wants it or not.

I hope you will find your way to Oxford with whatever resources you can bring to bear.

Regards Lord Fingolfin

  1. Psh ... lost first response before it was posted.

Okay ... first trick is around to Harry's to see if he also has a message. We need to be sure someone is following up on third pillar so we don't get blindsided. If none of our group is available then try and enlist the help of Aneshka and Mrs Alcyon.

Head to work and arrange leave of absence.

Get working trip bag from wardrobe (guns, ammunition, armour, spare clothes and kit normally live there) and head to Paddington station. Hopefully all before lunch.

  2. Modify that to pass by Lord Fingolfin's house on my way to Paddington station and check what Kuval is doing.
