The Perth Open is hitting Cockman Park THIS WEEKEND!

Originally shared by Rob Masters

The Perth Open is hitting Cockman Park THIS WEEKEND!!! and we still have limited places left if you haven’t pre-registered, so if you’re keen please pre-register at www.perthdiscgolf.com to secure your place.

For those of you that have already registered and are ready to throw, it should be a great tournament this year, especially since our tournament is also a part of the PDGA’s inaugural Global Disc Golf Tournament. This new concept compares our players scores over the weekend to competitors all over the world and should add a bit more excitement to the event (see http://www.pdga.com/global-dg-championship for more details).

Player fees are $50 for all Amateur divisions and $70 for Mens Open division, which includes a well-stocked players pack (for the first 25 pre-registrations), lunch both days and a cash purse for the pros.

The course used for the Perth Open this weekend will be the permanent nine-hole course at Cockman Park, Mulligan Drive Greenwood, with an additional temporary nine holes added to make up the eighteen. The semi-finals and finals will be played on the nine-hole modified “grunty” course to spice it up for the pointy end of the competition, with a few holes tweaked slightly from the standard “grunty” layout to avoid crossovers etc.
