Getting used to these readers is hard.
Getting used to these readers is hard. I feel seasick. I mean it's good, the magnification is fine, but I feel all woozy. I think I'll sit with my eyes closed for a bit.
Sympathy of sorts, Garry? :-/ No, they're not multifocal, just some grab and go readers until I get my prescription done. Apparently it's quite a common effect.
I sympathise. Even to this day wearing glasses for prolonged periods of time gives me headaches (though not as bad as my first pair of goofy looking glasses when I was a kid, which gave me severe headaches). Hope you get used to them quickly :)
These cheapies are very clear, no worries there. The wooziness is a common effect for people wearing glasses for the first time, so I'm told. So I thought I'd start getting used to it asap instead of waiting around for my 'scrip and enjoy the benefits of the clear vision.
New glasses? Sympathy!
ReplyDeleteJohn Samuel First glasses so it's all new to me.
ReplyDeleteah well... I do feel sympathy... of sorts, but I cant remember feeling seasick or anything with new readers, they're not multi focal are they?

ReplyDeleteMy experience is they tire your eyes out far quicker than prescription lenses. Although this an effect that has become more pronounced over the years.
