Definitely full on Djilba (around August-September in the Nyoongar calendar) on the way down to Mandurah on Sunday. Masses of golden wattle and cream Geraldton Wax coming out on the drive down. Beautiful! Grass trees spiking up too. In South Western Australia we've got six seasons http://www.bom.gov.au/iwk/nyoongar/index.shtml that follow a more phenological path. Recently the CSIRO published a paper by Professor Tim Entwisle that suggests that South of Brisbane in Australia, we should be looking at 5 seasons, including Sprinter and Sprummer. So I'd say we're roughly in Sprinter now, by his lights. http://www.publish.csiro.au/pid/7221.
