This tiny frog is about 1-2cm, it is newly emerged from the pond - couple of days ago it probably still had a tail. I was taken by the texture of its skin, something of a contrast with the smooth leaf it is sitting on. This is Litoria moorei - the motorbike frog.

What a great find and a lovely image for the theme :)
ReplyDeleteAlicia Smith absolutely awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThere are little frogs all over the front pond area at the moment. We're getting one or two starting their new life as frogs every day - L.moorei emerges in summer. Sometimes a tadpole will over winter and emerge the next summer, they can get very large.
I love frogs, and this shot is excellent!
