Nice list of apps. I could have used the NT one during my recent trip to Darwin, NT. "WITH THE WORLD at your fingertips (or in your pocket) it is simple to become a wildlife expert. These apps are the best out there to help you identify Australian wildlife.

Depending on your needs you may benefit from a general or a more specific guide depending on your location (local, state or national) or group of animals (harmful creatures, birds, mammals or frogs). Either way, there's an app that will suit your identification needs."

After a particularly traumatic Saturday, it was wonderful to get out onto the river. Originally, we were going to get together with various friends and make a big convoy to head upstream together. For various reasons, everyone else had to pull out, leaving just Alicia Smith and myself.

As it turned out, we had a wonderful time, just getting away from everything for a time, and exploring a part of the river we had not visited before.
