My uncle's funeral went well.

My uncle's funeral went well. Several people came up afterwards, including the celebrant and the funeral director complimented me on my reading of the tributes. 40 or 50 people came. Nice friendly lectern to grip tightly a couple of times, but all okay.

After a particularly traumatic Saturday, it was wonderful to get out onto the river. Originally, we were going to get together with various friends and make a big convoy to head upstream together. For various reasons, everyone else had to pull out, leaving just Alicia Smith and myself.

As it turned out, we had a wonderful time, just getting away from everything for a time, and exploring a part of the river we had not visited before.
