Broken Token must have been working overtime to get this out so quickly.

I backed it and have played it three times so far and love it. I don't think it deserves the flak it's been getting. I think we're all too used to heavy cardboard. It does the job. However I want my expensive game to last decades, so I am considering.
Brandon Graham yes the original box is a serious disappointment. I didn't want my nostalgia to extend to the sheer frustration of trying to get the game to fit back in the box, but here we are.
I'll be buying this, but I don't bear any ill will for Restoration Games. I don't buy games for the box. I buy them for the game, and the new Fireball Island is excellent. I approve of them spending their money where it was most important.
Also, I got the base game and the three small expansions to fit back in the main box in only one try. Maybe I should make a YouTube video. Fame awaits!
I played Fireball Island at Snakes and Lattes, and can confirm: The original box is hot garbage.

ReplyDeleteShayne Muelling it was pretty easy to get it back in the box, following the guide they gave kickstarter.com - Update 36: Big Fulfillment Update! Plus, Packing Tips, CHITAG, and Board Game Geek! · Fireball Island - 80's Board Game, Reignited and Restored here.
ReplyDeleteI would watch that video J Zoshak
ReplyDeleteAlicia Smith yes I did it just like that (without seeing that post) and it worked ok. I do think I'll invest in this broken token crate for the future to make it better, and to hold all the expansions (I went all-in on the KS and I don't regret it!).
