This is a photosphere, so look up, look down, look all around.

Wonderful idea!!!!
ReplyDeleteNice one
ReplyDeleteNo, Darcee McCutcheon I wasn't that game! If you look "down" you can see Rob Masters holding the Theta up on a selfie stick, and me composing the shot on my phone.
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of fun being a waldo for someone else - and I love the result you've got from this.
ReplyDeleteOn the surface, photosphere shooting seems the simplest and easiest thing in the world - I mean everything is in the shot, right?
This demonstrates how important careful composition still is - using the roof of the lookout as a virtual floor, the leading lines from the beams, and the choice of timing and light are all combined here with care. Take any part of this care and planning out, and you would have a much lesser image.
Here, though, they combine to make for a fantastic photosphere, and a great photo full stop.
What a cool idea : need to try and look with my phone as the browser doesn't do it justice. Has to be the ultimate panorama.
