A platypus census is underway along waterways in the Upper Murrumbidgee Catchment stretching from the NSW Snowy Mountains to the outskirts of Canberra - but spotting these meek monotremes is not easy.
"They are shy and masters of secrecy," Antia Brademann from Upper Molonglo Waterwatch told ABC Canberra's Drive program.
