Taken this morning. I've been to many of these places. This is happening 100 km south of us. No deaths but people aren't safe where they are, and it's not safe to evacuate. One town has been virtually wiped out already. :-/

Alicia Smith a truly frightening time of year
ReplyDeleteA true screen-shot, and a sobering reminder of the fragility of our livelihoods. A very moving image.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what caused these fires, but I know anyone throwing a cigarette butt on the ground around here is risking being punched in the face.
ReplyDeleteIt was just nature this time. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly agree.
ReplyDeleteInteresting interpretation of the theme Alicia Smith! Well done!
ReplyDeleteOriginal interpretation!
ReplyDeleteScary - I hope the fires will be under control soon - fire seasons are so difficult to deal with.
ReplyDeleteYikes!
ReplyDeleteYikes indeed Alicia Smith. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI will be okay, I am in the city, not surrounded by bush, but at least one country has been destroyed and lives lost.
ReplyDeleteThanks Darcee McCutcheon !
ReplyDeleteSad but a fine way to demonstrate the theme.
ReplyDeleteSo sad how much nature and livelihoods are destroyed that way and how scary for everyone close to it is so hard to control once it gets started. Hoping you aren't close to to danger zones Alicia wishing you and your family the best. Wonderful choice for the theme great work!!Alicia Smith
