I'm seeing a lot of Week 3 submissions come up - the changeover point
is still Wednesday, isn't it?

I love the enthusiasm, but it's going to get overwhelming if it keeps accelerating. Can we issue a general reminder, do you think?
lol ... thanks Alen Ianni. I thought that might have been the case. People will do what they do. Later on, as people try catching up, it becomes a bit more muddled anyway.
I'd observe for now. In the past we had two "issues": archive photos and working ahead. Only one or two out of 200+ participants were the troublemakers. As Alen Ianni pointed out a general call to order didn't really work. We usually don't check the EXIF for dates. But some seemed out of place. In the case of people posting archive photos, I've commented directly on their post in a friendly manner. That usually took care of the issue. In a few weeks/months the folks will be more concerned with keeping up. Here the same: we had a case where the participant was posting all over the calendar. A quick comment took care of that.
Mary Wardell to avoid confusion you could search for the hashtag of the week instead of looking into the week folder. It would have been simpler having 1 Folder per Week but I understood this is not possible with Communities.
I think that would be a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI agree
ReplyDeletewho would like to do that? I'm happy to, although Bernhard Rembold might want be the one posting that message.
ReplyDeleteHappy if you do that .. .although we tried in the past to remind when was time for new posting ... not much of success if you ask me ;-)

good advise Bernhard Rembold. overall we should probably be very pleased with the enthusiastic response. Some very good photos posted as well.
ReplyDeleteEnthusiasm is wonderful, but when people jump ahead it makes it hard to keep up with all the postings.

ReplyDeleteThe reminder post to the community did heighten awareness.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to catch the hash-tags - it's getting better.
