In summer they had a beach...in winter, an ice rink.
In summer they had a beach...in winter, an ice rink.
This is the first time I've ever seen an ice rink for real.
There's one in adelaide as well, we were there yesterday for an official work event.. the rink is about half the size of this one, but it is under a big marquee.. (down in Glenelg, right at the beach side at the start of the jetty)
Dryade Geo It looked like ice... it's a temporary affair set up at the Cultural Centre. +Stephen Lord we look forward to exploring Adelaide properly, we've only spent a few hours there in '99 as we caught the train to Melbourne.
I didn't think Perth got cold enough to make that feasible. I guess if you run enough power through the refrigerators though...
ReplyDeleteI see the penguins are the same.
We've got a similar one in Canberra ATM right in Garema Place
One of the new no ice ice rinks?
ReplyDeleteJohn Samuel - garema place needs to be a tad bigger also, hard to walk through people and to the other side sometimes
ReplyDeleteDryade Geo That's true, but it's still a dinky little ice rink for all that. :)
