Wow ! So dark and heavy but with that beautiful sunshine in the background makes this one of my favorites. It's sort of like the rainbow from the bible, a promise of better times. Also the bench persevering and standing in, yet also against the water reminds me of the Dutch and their relationship with the water. That makes the "Dutch Angle" here almost like a play on words.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fine bit of " seeing " : the simple " out-of-place-ness" of the bench forces a double take and a think. Works so well.
