Well that was disquieting. Last night as we were going to bed - bear in mind we have lights on, and car in the drive, and we have been moving around - Rob heard scrabblings outside, on the patio on the North side of the house. Then he saw someone moving towards the back of the house, moving east. We shone the spotlight, but not sure he even noticed.
We turned on the South security light and the neighbors on the South side start yelling. We go and talk to them and their teenage son recounts that someone was trying to photograph or video him as he showered!
We notice the back storage room has been opened but the crook must have retreated wisely from the wall of junk.
We call the police, the police call, the neighbours call with more details. So a10pm bedtime turns into a 12am bedtime and I am forted up here with no landline or proper internet waiting for internode, nbn and Telstra to restore my services. Not feeling comfortable, and we probably will never find out what the heck was happening.
The most innocent explanation would be someone hunting Pokémon but I suspect it wasn't.
ReplyDeleteYarr.
ReplyDeleteMay I just say "Yikes"? Take care, and do you know why did the landline etc cut out?
ReplyDeleteprobably an addict looking for an easy cash grab.
ReplyDeleteThe landline has been out since the start of June. Filming adolescents in the shower is an odd way to gain a quick buck, though Garry Winterton .
ReplyDeleteIf that is what they were doing, they're behaviour is rarely rational. It could well be a pervert but that just might be a coincidence as well. I have seen so many break in's a work, and the methods and what was taken rarely matches up with sensible planned actions.
ReplyDeleteIt was weird all round.
