This period of the seasons in Western Australia is called Djeran - a welcome slide into cooler but not at all cold weather from the depredations of the great heat. The days are still warm, but there's increased cloud, light winds, and some rain. It is one of the best times to be boating on the local waters - and I was kayaking on the Swan River when I thought that the Maylands yacht club boats made a striking Autumn picture for the area against the Windan Bridge.

I like the shadows of the clouds leading into the distant boats. Very moody.
ReplyDeleteNice one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image Alicia!!
ReplyDeleteAutumn as a respite from heat, an aspect of the season that is so often overshadowed by its colors. The silver grey tones establish a soothing mood, and the upright sailboats complete the story of pleasing gentle breezes. Very nicely done Alicia!
