Once more into the vampire infested little village, dear friends.

Once more into the vampire infested little village, dear friends.
Vhere is Sven? Vampire Viking, to dweadvul to contemplate!

Cooking dinner for Mum tonight and eating with her, so bring your own food tonight.

Looking to the future,  some months down the track, Alex (Sue who prefers to be known as Alex now) Isle has very kindly offered her house in Anzac Tce, Bassendean as a venue. She's an excellent roleplayer too, so that would be a bit of a bonus. It's rideable - even walkable - from the train station.

But it is a fair distance away - not so bad for us two as Rob will be in the area for work anyway.

Something to consider - while there is always the Glendalough flat to fall back on, in a pinch, it will be a pinch - it will be squeezy.

But it certainly is a generous offer.

Thank you for sharing your blog with me.

Thank you for sharing your blog with me. I have an idea for a hobby you might like to try which can take as little or as much time as you want to spend.  As you may know I am something of an avid boardgamer. There's a site where I would love to teach you a game or two. No pressure - the games are typically not live but are turn based. So I log in, invite you to a game. You don't need to read rules, I just chat you through it.  Best of all, you play when you have the time or inclination - I wander off, a couple of hours later you might wander in and have your turn. The games are colourful - there are games with dragons, with The Ark, with ships, with planetary exploration - so whatever theme you feel like there's probably something to try. The site is yucata.de and I'd love for you to give a try. Oh, and it's free and all the games are licensed and there's no advertising. My username on there is leeece.

RPGing tonight.

RPGing tonight. We feel like Nandos at the moment, but can pick up anything from that side of the strip - Japanese, Subway etc.

Drumlines kill species of sharks which are no threat to humans and other harmless wildlife.

Drumlines  kill species of sharks which are no threat to humans and other harmless wildlife. There are concerns that these drumlines will attract the very sharks that we want to discourage. The money being spent could be very well spent on research for more effective strategies protecting both humans and sharks.

From the AMCS.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shark
Wild

Other common names: Marketed as Flake, particularly in Victoria
Notes:
Gillnet, longline and trawl caught, depending on species and fishing location; slow-growing, long-lived and late-maturing group of species, producing few young, making all shark species vulnerable to fishing pressure; large declines in shark populations worldwide with several species listed as threatened with extinction by IUCN; School Shark is listed as a ‘conservation dependent’ threatened species under Commonwealth environment legislation; bycatch of dolphins and Australian sea lions has been an issue in the gummy shark fishery off SA – area closures are in place to reduce the impact of the fishery on these threatened species; many shark species e.g. tropical sharks are still caught without any stock assessments; shark meat also imported from poorly managed fisheries in Asia.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course, even sharks that do kill people are really lagging in the killing stakes.  Perhaps the money that's being spent on drum lines would more effectively save lives if it was spent elsewhere, instead of posing an internationally illegal threat to an endangered species.
